Behind the scenes
Michael is the Founder and President of VirtuIT Systems. Over the past 15 years Michael has taken VirtuIT from a 2-person company to almost 50 people as it is today. Under Michael’s direction VirtuIT has grown and maintained a reputation of excellence in the IT industry. On a personal level, Michael is a twenty-five-year IT veteran, having spent the majority of his career focused on data protection and business continuance. Prior to founding VirtuIT, Michael worked in many technical, customer facing positions, for top industry leading IT firms; winning many technology focused awards. Over the years Michael has been published, and quoted in many industry specific journals. Michael holds a B.S. from City University of New York.
Ryan Zavras, the VirtuIT Systems Director of Engineering, has spent 15 years in IT Infrastructure and Services. He started his career with IBM Business Continuity and Resiliency Services before joining VirtuIT. At IBM, he specialized in Disaster Recovery Network, Storage, and Connectivity Service Solutions – with a focus on customer service and a wide variety of technologies and platforms. Ryan has been an Employee of VirtuIT Systems since 2011, and has core infrastructure and innovative solutions to solve Business and IT problems at the forefront of his focus. At VirtuIT Ryan has worked with over 200 different customers and has found always found innovative ways to save on work efforts, cost, and maximize efficiency. Ryan studied Information Technology with a minor in Information Systems at Marist College. In his personal life, Ryan enjoys racing his car at racetracks across the northeast.
Josh holds a BS in Aerospace from Middle TN State University and has over 14 years of IT sales experience most recently as a Storage/Datacenter SME at Dell|EMC. Josh is proficient in the Dell|EMC portfolio and leading complex datacenter projects from beginning to end. Josh is passionate about leading the VirtuIT Sales team and providing great value and customer experience for our clients.
Gary currently serves as the Marketing and Operations Director at VirtuIT Systems. After graduating from Syracuse University with a business degree in 2015, he has headed operations & marketing for the last 6 + years and brings a data driven mindset to our company. Gary has always enjoyed the challenge of being entrenched in every aspect of VirtuIT, and strives to continuously search for and implement best practices to enhance our growth as a company. Outside of VirtuIT, you can find him on the ski slopes or watching the Yankees.
Erika Fiodorova is the Director of Finance at VirtuIT Systems. Erika is responsible for all aspects of the company’s efficient fiscal management. Erika has a diverse finance background including corporate financial reporting, auditing and budgeting. Erika ensures that VirtuIT Systems maintains a strong sense of financial stability. It is this stability that ensures that we serve our customers with the highest degree of competence and innovation. Erika possesses an advanced degree in business administration and almost 10 years of work experience. Outside of VirtuIT, Erika likes spending time with her family and engaging in sports activities.
Mark comes into VirtuIT with 18 years of experience managing and running IT projects and professionals. During his most recent position with an NYC-based Non-Profit, he led various infrastructure improvement projects and increased department satisfaction scores by 200%. At VirtuIT Mark oversees all engineering operations with the mission of continued excellence in execution, customer satisfaction, and driving sustainable engineering efficiency. Mark resides in northern New Jersey and enjoys jeeps, the outdoors, and his two crazy corgis.
