Veeam Disaster Recovery That Just Works
Veeam Disaster Recovery Overview
Effectively deploying and managing a disaster recovery solution that is continuously monitored.
Veeam Disaster Recovery includes everything from Cloud Connect Backup but further builds upon them by introducing replication.
Replication allows the failover of servers to the VirtuIT Cloud so if a customer’s infrastructure fails, business can continue by failing over to the replicated servers in the VirtuIT Cloud.
Here's What You Get
Full server reports of all servers protected in your environment to provide a monthly point-in-time snapshot of backups’ success/failure. This can also be used for auditing purposes.
Includes review of capacity, replication efficiency, plan & test recoveries, upgrades & planning, inventory count.
A designated technician will monitor replication jobs to ensure they are successful and identify any needed remediation efforts.
Once annually, VirtuIT will schedule a date and time with the customer to test out the disaster recovery functionality to not only ensure that disaster recovery works, but also to provide the customer with the hands on step-by-step experience so they’re ready and confident if/when an actual disaster strikes.
In addition to the daily checks, VirtuIT techs will work with the customer’s local IT staff to ensure all replications are completing successfully, and in the anticipated replication window. Replication jobs will be edited and maintained as necessary to ensure the optimal performance and desired results for the backup environment.
Your cloud provider leverages the Veeam Service Provider Console (SPC) to view all replication results from a single pane of glass, without having to log into your environment. The SPC also generates daily reports with the replication which are shared with you. Finally, the SPC also provides monthly reports detailing all VMs that have been replicated within the last month. These reports will be delivered via email.
Features that stand Out
Quick, unscheduled backups. Store the backup file to a backup repository, to a local folder on the backup server or to a network share.
Move VMs between ESXi hosts. Quick Migration works similarly to vMotion and can be used if you do not have licensing that allows for vMotions.
Scan machine data with antivirus software before restoring the machine to the production environment.
Create an independent, fully functioning copy of a VM for use when moving datacenters, creating a test lab, etc.
Copy and move files/folders between servers and hosts added to the backup infrastructure. For file copying operations, Veeam BUR has a Windows Explorer-like user interface familiar to a Microsoft Windows user.
Using SureReplica, letting you test your replications without impacting production infrastructure.
An isolated virtual environment where you can start one or more VM replicas or VMs from storage snapshots.
Run an executable script for VMs before recovering them to the production environment. Staged restore can help you ensure that recovered VMs do not contain any personal or sensitive data.
Automatically test to ensure that replicas have completed successfully and will function in the event of a disaster.
Not all business needs are the same. Depending on your objectives that we’ll collectively identify, Veeam Disaster Recovery offers an array of features that are completely customizable.
